By 2007 Berangere has converted the vineyards to organic farming and has also applied biodynamic practices like following the lunar cycle and spreading manure over the vineyards to promote the health of microorganisms. All the work in the vineyards is done manually. Since the 2010 vintage the estate has been certified organic by the Agriculture Biologique (AB). The timing couldn't be more perfect as 2010 turned out to be a beautiful growing season. This is evident on the 2010 Graves "Cuvee Berangere, a blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in cement and stainless steel tanks.
 
Chateau Lusseau is a seriously good discovery in the Graves. The nose has that unmistakable Graves minerality and the flavors are velvety and fresh. And here's the clincher, just $21! This is authentic Pessac wine without the poisonous chemicals and without all that Pessac pretentiousness.
