Extremely rare, specially aged sake. Brewed and bottled in 1997, then aged in 40 degree F temperature controlled storage for 17 years. Only 50 bottles are imported to the US. Age has given it a pale gold patina. Intense, deep flavors hinting of plum and molasses. Outstanding purity and balance and length of finish. A great showcase of how well-crafted sake can age gracefully. Made with Hiroshima Hattan and Nakate Shinsebon rice varieties polished down to 60%. Gold medal winner in 2012 International Wine Challenge.

New York's Tocqueville and 15 East restaurant featured this rare aged sake in a mouthwater sake dinner last August. Chef Marco Moreira, a Brazilian pioneering sushi chef in New York, and French sommelier Roger Dagorn, a certified Master Sommelier and Sake Samurai, put together the awesome menu.
