If you're looking for true Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, you need not look further than this one crafted by winemaker Matt Berson. The fruit is sourced from some of the Valley's best sites, including Temperance Hill Vineyard in Eola Hills (own-rooted vines), Cherry Grove Vineyard in the Coastal Range, Saikonnen Vineyard in Ribbon Ridge, Winters Hill Vineyard in the Dundee Hills planted with own-rooted Pommard clone, and others. The grapes were fermented in small lots using native yeasts, with pigeage by hand and foot. The wine was aged in neutral barrels for 18 months before bottling. Gorgeously crafted! Quite floral, with notes of petals. Intense fruit that's light-bodied and textured, giving a satisfying mouthfeel. 848 cases produced. 12.6% alcohol.
