A white from the indigenous Mtsvane grape farmed organically by the tiny 3-hectare Antadze Winery. This is made by a bit of maceration or extended skin contact, where the fermenting juice is infused by additional flavors from the skin--a typical practice in Georgia. Just a minimal amount of sulphites is added. The wine is aged in the traditional Georgian method in qvevri or clay amphora. The result is a light amber colored wine of luscious flavors and textures. Like an elegant dry Sherry, refreshing with its pear and and pear skin flavors with complex herbal and spice notes. Quite stunning.
