From one of the brightest young stars in the middle Loire, Thomas Carsin crafts this beauty using a 50-50 blend of Grolleau and Gamay from his organically grown vineyard in the Anjou area. Vinifiying with a natural approach, using only natural yeasts without any additions except for the most minimum dose of sulfites when necessary, he produces a wine of lovely perfume and charming expression of fruits and soil. This red is awesome for its silky texture and refined character, quite different from the more rustic varieties you'd find using Grolleau. It is clear that Thomas Carsin has found a delicious way to tame and seduce the grape's wild character. Don't miss this.
