Quite monumental wine considering that this comes from a high-elevation vineyard site planted just after World War II on mica-schiste soils. The yield is a mere 15 to 20 hl/ha, a drop considering the limit of 45 hl/ha. A thirst quenching white with a delicious burst of fruit. A blend of Grenache Gris, Carignan Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Macabeu, and Muscat from organic vineyards. Amazing richness and minerality with a modest alcohol of 12.5%. Aged on the lees for 12 months in used barrels. Awesome value for a white of this majestic quality.

"Representing, as ever, a field blend of (in descending order) Grenache Gris, Carignan Blanc, Grenache Blanc, and Macabeu, with a smidgeon of Muscat, the Clot de l'Oum 2011 Cotes du Roussillon Cine-Panetonne features pineapple and lime garlanded with fennel, green tea and musky narcissus, accompanied by saline, alkaline, and iodine-rich intimations of sea breeze and shelled sea creatures. Polished and juicy, saliva-inducing and savory, this brings a delightfully stimulating impingement of lime zest, pineapple core, salted peanut and crystalline minerality to its long, animated and refreshing finish. Plan to employ it with versatility through at least 2016." 91/100 David Schildknect, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
