Stunning age-worthy Pinot Noir from a blend of two excellent Sonoma Coast vineyards, the Carl Myers Vineyard and the Occidental Vineyard.

"Tough to appreciate now due to its acidity and tannins, which lock it down behind a cloak of impenetrability. There are exotic wild raspberry and cherry fruit, cola, licorice, Provencal herb, bacon and pepper flavors, but you can't quite get to them, because they're behjind bars. Obviously needs time. Give it 3-5 years in the cellar, and it should begin to blossom after that." 92/100 Wine Enthusiast Cellar Selection

"Deep ruby. Sexy aromas of black raspberry and cherry-cola, with floral and Indian spice qualities gaining strength with air. Juicy and a bit tight on entry, then gains flesh and sweetness in the mid-palate and offers cherry compote and blackberry flavors. A sneaky vein of minerality lends lift and precision to the long, spicy finish. This benefits a lot from aeration: I'd keep my hands of this one for at least a couple more years." 91(+?)/100 Stephen Tanzer's IWC
