These 2007s from Domaine Camus-Bruchon in Savigny-les-Beaune are a joy, as mesmerizing, if not more so, than the highly regarded 2005s. Is there a finer range of red Burgundies from Savigny-les-Beaune priced at less than $40. Impossible!

Argentina's Best Buys for Wine Lovers 02.16-02.18 Midweek Tasting

The wine-loving country of Argentina produces wines with a more European flavor. Ripe and full-bodied as can be expected from a hot-climate region, the wines are not nearly over-the-top jammy and alcoholic as other New World wines, but well-balanced and perfectly matched with food. Break out the chimichurri!

  • Lujan de Cuyo (Mendoza) Chardonnay, Maipe 2007
  • Mendoza Malbec, Don Miguel Gascon 2008
  • San Juan Bonarda "Cuesta del Vento", Bodegas Hermanos Millas 2007
  • San Juan Syrah "Cuesta del Vento", Bodegas Hermanos Millas 2007
