8 of the World's Best Value Wines!

We spend a ridiculous amount of time
scouring the world’s wine regions for the
best values. Our value selection is very strict. Quality is first before price. These are not mass-produced wines. They’re made by
artisan producers in limited quantities.

1. Costieres de Nimes Blanc, Mas Grand Plagniol (Cyril Mares) 2006 $12.00
Stunningly delicious blend of Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, with a splash of Viognier. Its aromatic floral, almondy, and mineral nose, together with luscious flavors of pear, grapefruit, and honeysuckle. Rhone white gets no better than this, certainly not at this absurdly low price.  Add to cart

2. Vouvray "Domaine le Peu de la Moriette", Domaine Pichot 2007 $14.00
The 2007 vintage in Vouvray featured a cool summer and a warm, sunny September that led to an extended ripening period. The vintage has good ripeness with high acidity and modest alcohol. Vouvrays from 2007 are delicious and food-friendly. This off-dry Vouvray from Domaine Pichot is a terrific example at a great price.  Add to cart

3. Paso Robles Red "Sisyphus", J.R. Storey Winery 2006 $12.00

Michel Rolland in Argentina

Mendoza Red, Clos de los Siete (Michel Rolland) 2006 $18.00
Opaque, dense, fleshy concentrated flavors. Energetic and fresh for a big wine, with rich tannins underneath the massive fruit. This has the outsize power, flair, and polish of a Michel Rolland wine.

"The 2006 Clos de los Siete is a slightly different blend with 50% Malbec, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah... Ripe, sweet, and seamless, it admirably hides its tannin under all the fruit. It will evolve for several years but who will have the willpower to defer gratification? It is an awesome value." 92/100 Jay Miller, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Very Rare, Magnificent Priorat
98 Points! Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

Priorat "Costers de Vinyes Velles", Celler Mas Doix 2005 $116.00
Blend of 90+ year-old Carignan vines and 100+ year-old Grenache vines. Miniscule production. Very rare.

"The wine is a blend of 50% Carinena, 48% Garnacha, and 2% Merlot. Purple-colored, it has an other-worldly perfume of pain grille, grilled meat, spice cabinet, espresso, mineral, wild blueberry, and black cherry. This is followed by a powerful, masculine, intense Priorat with gobs of flavor, and a very long finish. It will be at its peak from 2018 to 2040." 98/100 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate!
